Emotions and Homeopathy, Anxiety Types!
How ya feeling? ;)
So many emotions around these parts as the cool weather moves in, sports crank up, school takes over...and we get tired! ...Or happy. I have one little guy who gets much happier in the seasons he’s busy with his sporting. Either way, feelings are all around for all of us and homeopathy is a beautiful way to support and help the body move through emotion, instead of being activated or reacting to emotions or worse: stuffing them to come out as physical ailments later.
If you didn’t get to watch our Preferred Professionals Chat that we opened to all, it’s recorded and saved on YouTube!
Something we prepared for that chat is a handy guide for selecting remedies to support fears and anxieties. To be honest, precious Kali Phos was my second remedy ever used when Lyme settled in my body and I experienced anxiety and nervous exhaustion for the first time. Homeopathy has continued to support many of our PANS/PANDAS, Lyme Disease, chronic infection and mold clients - those whose nervous systems get extremely taxed and turn to anxiety and fears - so well!
The Anxiety Quick Reference Guide is helpful for learning remedies, looking up a match for a fear or anxiety or using in practice for those pros reading. I think it also does a great job of spelling out how many wonderfully specific things homeopathy can free a body up from. Just this little list makes me glad for the helpful tool of homeopathy
.... Fear of...:Going Places, of Parents Dying, of Bad Dreams, of feeling Trapped, of Impending Doom, of Heights, of Flying, of Going Over Bridges, of GI Sensations, of Dying, of Germs, of Sickness, of People, of Death, of Falling, of Narrow Places, of Lateness..... tell me you’ve not had a fear of one of those things at some point that impacted your daily life and I might have to say you’re not human!
When it comes to listening to anxieties, you know we see them differently. Often the body will present an anxiety in a protective manner that gives us clues.
Most of our strep infected kiddos? → Obsessed with hand washing, food expiration dates and remaining clean, fear of vomiting or getting sick - some don’t like to poo in public becuase this makes them more vulnerable to infections entering the body
Many of our mold exposed people? → Anxious about dealth and dying, getting end of life things in order, fear of germs and dust or dirtiness
The Lyme infected who don’t know it? → Terrified of bugs, the fear of getting bitten by a tick or another bug that could transmit infection...that they already have but don’t know they have
The Epstein Barr crew? → Fears becomine exhausted, overpowered, trapped, social scenarios, fears of people, fear of never getting better
The POTS friends? → They’ve often got fears of crowds, fear of downward motion, or falling, of sickness
Depleted Mom figuring out her thyroid and infection challenges? → She’ll be concerned with her children’s well being and safety, fears of finances, details, sickness coming to her home
These are, of course, generalized patterns that we see in practice - and one can have these fears without having the correlated “type”, but it raises a good point.
Anxieties and fears are often expressions of our physical body asking for something it doesn’t need (more infections) or something it does need (rest and protection from collapse). When we start to view emotions as messengers and focus on helping the body to process and move through them - emotions can feel more manageable and wild emotions like the seperation bedtime anxiety of PANS/PANDAS can start to fade and normal, vital health can return to the child. A little update from just this morning...
