When Anxiety (or the holiday season!) is Trying to Tell you Something

Make it stand out

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

So many people come to me saying, “I just want this anxiety gone.”

Totally fair — who doesn’t want to feel calm and steady?

But here’s the thing: anxiety isn’t always something to “get rid of.” Sometimes, it’s the body’s way of waving a big red flag saying, “Hey, something’s off in here!”

Sure, we can use tools to help in the moment — a little adrenal support, magnesium, deep breathing, maybe some nervous-system nourishment — but the real magic happens when we stop and ask:

What is this anxiety trying to show me?

Clues From the Body

Anxiety can be sneaky, but it’s also incredibly honest.
It shows up when your system is running on fumes or when something deeper needs attention.

→ Blood sugar crashes: That jittery, heart-racing feeling after skipping lunch or living off coffee? That’s your body’s SOS — “Feed me something with protein, please.”

→ Hidden infections: Things like Lyme, Candida, or even viral flare-ups can spark cytokine storms that light up the brain and make it feel like you’ve been plugged into an electrical outlet.

→ Mold and toxins: I can’t tell you how many people describe constant anxiety, butterflies, or panic… and later find out their environment was the real trigger. Their body wasn’t malfunctioning — it was literally saying, “Get me out of here, I’m being poisoned!”

When the body’s surrounded by toxins, it sometimes even limits your breathing on purpose — a built-in protective mechanism to reduce intake. Wild, right?

Hormones, Histamine & The “Why Am I Losing It?” Cycle

Then there’s the hormone layer.

If your liver is bogged down by mold toxins, Candida, or synthetic hormones, it can’t clear out estrogen, histamine, or stress hormones very efficiently.

Cue: mood swings, irritability, and that wired-but-tired anxiety that hits for “no reason.”

The truth? There is a reason — your liver’s waving the white flag.

So before you label yourself as “an anxious person,” zoom out a little.

Ask:

1. Did I eat balanced meals today?

2. Am I in a clean environment, or could mold be part of this picture?

3. Is my body fighting something hidden, like yeast or bacteria?

4. Have I been pushing through stress without rest or nourishment?

When we start addressing those layers — supporting blood sugar, calming inflammation, improving detox, creating safe space for the nervous system — the anxiety often starts to quiet itself.

Listen Before You Label

Anxiety isn’t always the problem.
It’s often the messenger.

And once we learn to listen, it becomes one of the most powerful guides we have toward healing.

With care,
